Fires across the West Coast

After doing some workshops in cali this summer, I thought it would be important to bring it up in the blog to show I care…..

One person named Jamie blogged about fires down in S. Cal which I believe are older fires. I was in Northern Cali where I smelled smoke everyday. I remember the Southern fires and blogged about them a year or so ago. Wow, that is a lot of smoke and burning and info to deal with. My God!

Jamie wrote not too long ago, “Fires and Oil and Karma, oh my!
Current mood: aggravated

I’m watching the news tonight and I’m just hearing about another fire in the area, and I’m wondering what the fuck is with all these fires!!!!

The first fire we had was about a month ago, in late May where a fire broke out in the south Santa Cruz mountains. Then after that one was put out, another fire broke out in the northern Santa Cruz mountains. And, after that one was put out, just this past Friday a fire broke in Watsonville, south of Santa Cruz. I was sitting in traffic coming back from Monterey and it took 3 hours to get home (it usually takes an hour). That’s when I said to myself, this is out of the ordinary — there’s got to be an arsonist in the area. And sure enough (that’s always been a stupid phrase) they reported on the news that people saw someone on a motorcycle lighting brush in some empty lots. All I have to say is that guy has some bad bad karma coming to him. These fires are getting fucking annoying, and I hope whoever is lighting these fires gets stuck in line of fire he lit and gets burned, or it burns his house up, or a few years from now there’s an electrical shortage in his house and it burns to the ground (just HIS house) or he just chokes on some hot food or just gets cancer and dies cause he doesn’t have insurance and can’t afford the treatments (I just watched Sicko lately, but that’s another rant/blog — can’t tell the difference anymore — I’m turning into Lewis Black!) But, back to this supposed arsonist guy — so I just saw on the news that an area over the hill close to SF Airport is burning! And, there’s a fire in Monterey still burning (it’s been burning for a few weeks now) and there’s a fire in Napa too! Thank goodness for our firefighters — they are working hard for their salaries this season! And I am so glad that our firefighting is a socialized system — because if it was privatized, like our prison systems are starting to be, or our health care is, this whole fucking state would be burned to a crisp!

So, CA is burning and MO is under water. Too bad we can’t just dig a big ditch and the water could drain out of MO through a couple of states and flood CA so we can put out the fires! Does anyone have a huge wet vac??? I guess these disasters are our karma for this stupid war and our current asinine (I love that word!) administration… and whatever else we’re doing that the American public doesn’t even know about (7 more months then this tyranny is over!) And what’s with all of these other disasters all over the world?! Mama earth is not happy about global warming and she is speaking up! The oil situation — don’t get me started on that! I just had an epiphany lately about oil, but I can’t explain it in this blog because it’s too esoteric — if you’re really curious about what I just realized contact me and I’ll tell you (warning — once you know you can never go back to not knowing!)

On a happy note — I hope everyone is well, and enjoying the summer.”

The fires she speaks of above were heavy. The ones I speak of are too, but I heard these were started by lightening.

I pray that we pull it together in America. Its so sad that our earth is burning up from bombs and fires and that they can send men to space but can’t control and put out fires. I think the fires are worse than they say, the smoke was filling there air while I was there so thickly that it truly made you ask deep spiritual questions.

How do you feel about the fires? What do you know? What can we do? What is the latest that you have heard?
